Floomi collects as little as it can. Most of what you tell us about yourself stays in your own browser.
Who is responsible
Floomi, Index Tower, Office 120, Business Bay, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Floomi", "we") decides how your data is used. For anything about your data, email floomi.com@gmail.com.
What stays in your browser
Your home airport, what bags you bring, your budget, your birth date and nationality for youth prices, and your pre-flight checklist ticks are saved in your browser only (local storage). We never receive them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
What we keep on our server
- Your account: your email address, and your phone number if you choose text alerts.
- What you ask us to watch: routes, dates, hotels or seats, your price limits, quiet hours and time zone, and your deal-feed settings (home airports, the most you want to pay, weekly digest on or off).
- Trip follow-ups: when you click to book a flight while signed in, or from one of our alerts, we may email you about two hours later with hotels for those dates and an eSIM for your destination, and text you if you chose text alerts. Each one has a link to stop them.
- Messages we send you: a copy of every alert, sign-in email and text, with who it went to and whether it was delivered.
- Signing in: sign-in links and session cookies. We store only a scrambled (hashed) form of each link, never the link itself.
- Partner clicks: when you click Book or View, we record the trip or hotel you chose, the price we showed, the page you came from, your browser type and, if you're signed in, your account. Not your IP address.
- Server logs: like any website, our server records IP addresses and the pages requested, to keep the service secure and to find faults.
Ask Sky conversations are not stored by us. When Ask Sky uses its AI assistant, what you type is sent to Anthropic to produce the answer (see below).
Why, and on what legal basis
- To provide what you asked for (your account, watches and the alerts you set up): this is needed to perform our agreement with you.
- Your consent: the weekly digest, text alerts, and affiliate cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
- Our legitimate interests: keeping Floomi secure, preventing abuse, and counting deal clicks to understand which deals are useful.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.
Who helps us run Floomi
- Hetzner (Germany): hosts our servers and database.
- Resend: sends our emails.
- Twilio: sends text alerts, only if you turn them on.
- Anthropic: answers Ask Sky questions when the AI assistant is on.
- Travelpayouts (including Aviasales, Kiwi.com and Airalo) and Stay22: when you click Book, View or an eSIM link, we send you to them with the trip details (places, dates, number of travellers) and a campaign label. We don't send your name, email or phone. Once you're on their sites, their own privacy policies apply.
- Travelpayouts Drive and Stay22 scripts: when we turn them on, they run on every page of this site and can set cookies that record you came from Floomi (see Cookies).
To find prices, our price checker asks flight and hotel search sites about routes and dates. Those requests contain no information about you.
Some of these providers are outside the UK and the EEA. Where they are, we rely on the safeguards the law requires for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while you have an account. We have not yet set automatic deletion periods for messages and click records. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing floomi.com@gmail.com.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or download your data, object to how we use it, or restrict it. Email floomi.com@gmail.com and we will answer within one month. Every alert and digest email has a link to stop it. You can also turn off the deal feed and weekly digest on your deals page, and pause or stop any watch in Tracked Trips.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live in the EU.
Age
You must be 16 or older to create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell account holders by email.
